System requirements

JDK

JDBaccess works with the Java Standard Edition (Java SE). The Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE) is not needed. JDBaccess works with the following releases of the Java SE:

• J2SE 1.4.2
  
• J2SE 5.0
  
• Java SE 6
  

JDBC

JDBaccess works with the JDBC drivers of MySQL and Oracle:

• MySQL Connector/J: JDBaccess supports the MySQL Connector/J driver versions 5 (5.0.3) and 3.1 (3.1.13) so that MySQL 4 and MySQL 5 database systems can be connected.
• Oracle^TM JDBC thin driver: JDBaccess supports the Oracle thin driver version 10 (10.1.0.4, 10.1.0.5, 10.2.0.1, 10.2.0.2) and 9 (9.2.0.5, 9.2.0.8) so that Oracle 8i, 9i and 10g database systems can be connected. We recommend to use the version 10 (10.1.0.5) which is faster than version 9.
